Well, we made it! We're on board the Majestic Princess - the newest and largest ship in the Princess Line's fleet. It's a beautiful ship, and we'll add more pictures as we go along. After the standard safety drills, we came back to our room and changed for a lovely dinner with our newest cruise dinner companions. Two nice couples: Rick and Lisa are from Los Angeles and (small world alert!) Ed and Lori are from Lebanon, CT and from what they say, their youngest went to Lyman High about the same time as Michelle. We didn't think to ask about names. We'll try to find out tomorrow.
After dinner we went and saw a performance at the theater - a Freddie Mercury tribute show which was - in spite of how it sounds - actually pretty good. What it did, if nothing else, was remind me just how good the music of Freddie Mercury and Queen really was.
Our room is very nice, more than adequate in size, and comes with its own balcony from where I took this picture. I think we're off to a great start. Tomorrow, Tauranga.
